IDIDN’T realize just how passionate SENetworkers were about the network until I asked them to tell me what they thought about the new, less-cash focused SEN2020 that I presented to them in the last edition of SuccessDigest Extra! [Vol. 3 N0 22 dated January 6, 2009].
It was like opening a floodgate. The comments started to pour in and, boy, what a great lesson I learnt from them! Here, reproduced for your benefit, are the emails along with my comments:
From: SENpreneur SAMUEL SALAWU, Port Harcourt:
I have read the new steps aimed at pointing the network to achieve the set goals earmarked right from the start. Let me begin by saying that I am in support of any steps that will fast track the network to achieve the set goals. Therefore, I hail the plans to improve the speed of recruiting SENetworkers.
However, I have this suggestions based on my experience on the field. It is my observation that what gets the job done in recruitment of SENetworkers is personal contact and follow -up, not just a wide and broad advert. This being the case, a need to give a bait to aspiring SENetworkers is a good way of getting more recruits. In other words, allowing new entrants to enjoy the magazine for a longer period of time, in my opinion, will do the work of “speeding up” recruitment better. May I, therefore, put in the following suggestions––
It should be noted that the expanded time is to encourage both existing and aspiring SENetworkers to do a better job than they were executing hitherto; Group A to comprise all SENetworkers who have introduced at least one member to the network.
They have 2 years to raise 5 members, failure which relegates them to Group B. Group B to comprise all “subscribers” and those who are entitled to digital copies, having failed after 1 year to recruit a single member.
They have 2 years, from this point, to raise 5 members or get relegated to Group C. Those who want to get back to Group A from this category may subscribe afresh every year of failing to recruit 5 members. Group C to comprise inactive members who after 2 years in SEN have failed to raise 5 members and refused to subscribe afresh.
They can restart with fresh subscription. All the intended incentives can remain intact along with the above suggested plan. I believe that even if you find that you may not implement this suggestions wholly, you may highlight one or two points therein worthy of consideration.
Thank you for this opportunity to make my personal views available. I am Your Obedient Entrepreneurial Student SENpreneur SAMUEL SALAWU.
MY COMMENT:
Greetings, SENpreneur Salawu! I held back from replying your email because I wanted to digest your suggestions well. Now I have. First, thank you for your thoughts. I truly appreciate it. Your suggestions are okay. But there are TWO things they failed to take into account: [a] The cost of paper that SENetworkers are receiving twice a month and [2] the desire by SENetworkers to get their rewards faster than how our system was originally programmed to dish it out.
How do we bridge this gap? This is the issue!
If a SENetworker keeps receiving SDE! [paper edition] for 24 issues without contributing anything to the pool, including maybe not even reading it, how will SADC be able to continue to produce the paper? Especially now that the cost of newsprint has risen by roughly 50% since the beginning of 2008 from N125,000 at the start of the year to N185,00 per ton that it is now currently selling for? Think about that.
Second, as I explained from Day One, our system was designed to reward SENetworkers from top down. That means the person who joins first will get his reward ahead of the person who follows and so on and so forth; and that the time they receive it will depend on how fast everyone in the system continues to introduce others to the programme.
Well, with most people brought into the system going to sleep, as it were, the system was getting slower and slower in rewarding people. That was to be expected. We cannot eat our cake and have it.
That was the place we were before we started to adjust the system. Until now that we have come up with the new version.
So, SENpreneur Salawu, if you can come up with an idea of how we can be handing SDE! to say, 20,000 SENetworkers every two weeks for one year, without the networker adding any value to the system long after his initial payment of N1,000 had been exhausted, I will embrace it warmly.

I appreciate your effort to make Nigeria great as an entrepreneurship country by designing SEN2020 and I know that it is a realistic and achievable goal. For all what you explained in the last edition of SDE! about inactive member of SENetworkers, I want to tell you that inactive members are of two types, namely:
(1) Those who join because of free copy of SDE! and (2) Those who joined as a result of ignorance, i.e. lack of knowledge about what SEN is all about because it was made mandatory to be a member before one can be able to attend free seminars.
Having being a member, I discovered that a lot of benefits are there and problems arise from two angles: (1) How to receive free copy of SDE! since I do not know any Authorize Reseller [AR] in my area and, (2) How to recruit downline, since I do not always stay in Lagos.
I sent several messages to your number but what I always received was to meet any AR in my area. Sir, I want you to make it too simple to follow by (1) Including to your website where someone can recruit and make payment with ATM cards without even coming to SADC for the purpose of those living outside Lagos State;
(2) Include the list of your ARs in your website where all members can get their free copy of SDE! and
(3) Providing awareness for all new-comers because not everybody that comes for seminar is invited by a SENetworker. Some people get to know about SEN through a copy of SDE!, as in my own case.
Sir, if these can be solved, I know that more people will be active because I do not see anything that is wrong with the system for somebody who wants to really achieve goals due to the fact that I have once a time been with multi-level marketing companies like GNLD, TIANSHI, SWISSGUARD etc among which GNLD is the toughest and I manage to became a Director with them.
Therefore, those who want to reap the harvest of SEN2020 should bear in mind that their location will determine their allocation. Thanks in anticipation. Yours truly. Kareem M. Adebayo. 08035242498.
MY COMMENT:
If I say you hit the nail on the head, it would be an understatement. I agree with ALL your observation. And the good news is that we started to do something about some of them already.
For instance, we are creating a website which will be launched very soon where you can register online and pay us with Inter-switch direct from your own computer. Click here to visit the website.
Concerning using our FREE Seminars to bring people into SEN2020, it is obvious that anyone who is interested in our free seminars is already searching for the kind of information [and knowledge] that we dish out in every issue of SDE! If we don’t seize the opportunity of their attendance of our free seminars to bring them in, we shall be guilty of keeping the information that is meant to liberate them to ourselves.
Some have argued in the past that recruiting people into SEN2020 this way is not fair. Someone actually suggested that we were forcing them. That cannot be true.
Our free seminars are primarily designed to empower our members, that SEN2020 members and SuccessDigest Leaders’ Club [SDLC] members. When we open our doors to members of the public to attend, they are told upfront that they would have to join SEN2020 in order to be admitted into the seminar.
If a non-member of the public finds the subject of our free seminar to be so irresistible that he chooses to attend then, as I pointed out earlier on, the person is already actively looking for what we give out regularly to our members and, at that point, the most reasonable for them is to join the network and become active members.
Anything short of this is wasting our resources on people who are only ready to take [receive] and not give. And that is against one of the THREE key reasons why Success Attitude Development Centre [SADC] was established in 1995 which is to:
"raise and nurture entrepreneurs whose success in business is driven by the fear of God, a burning desire to care for their families and an unquenchable thirst to do good in their communities."

Sir: I give you kudos for the great job you’re doing to impart knowledge into Nigerians. I’m a SEN member. I have registered since 2007 through a reseller known as semitt. However, having paid to him, he kept playing me. My several calls to him and the SEN2020 Administrator where to no avail.
I must tell you that I share the vision of SADC, being an undergraduate of UNAAB and the admin of www.subayod.blogspot.com. I’m explaining this to you that you’ll not feel as if I’m not interested in the network. I’m, therefore, using this opportunity to tell you to see what can be done as I have not registered anybody despite the fact I have paid for two persons to the AR and the people that I collected their money have been insulting me for spending their money.
I don’t mind seeing you to get myself explained better and how I can work with you as an active person with diverse experience and zeal for entrepreneurship. God bless you sir. Subair Ayodeji Tosin. Ibadan
MY COMMENT:
My heart bleeds for you SUYABOD. We shall contact AR SEMITT to find out why he’s holding on to your money without rendering the service for which you paid. Be rest assured that we shall redress this case and make it possible for you to achieve your dream of being an ACTIVE SENETWORK.

Seasons greetings, Daddy. I feel honoured expressing my thoughts on the new improved SEN.
The mandatory two (2) downline every month will enable every SENetworker to know the importance of setting targets and goals. Without this driving force, a lot of SENetworkers will be dormant.
The comprehensive plan for SEN is a flexible one due to the fact that it has a thirty (30) day grace for bringing in two (2) downline. However, please throw more light in the following areas:
(1) What happens to Club 50 (fifty) members that fail to bring in the mandatory ten (10) people after five (5) months?
(2) Apart from the entrepreneurship materials, will the monetary reward still be N4.590M?
(3) How will those regarded as subscribers renew their SEN subscription when they are still receiving soft copies?
(4) SEN Top Money Earners Monthly Promotion should be structured in a way that the prizes to be won will not be hijacked by those who ‘buy’ downline.
(5) The full requirements for attending the two (2) weeks pre-BCCE course should be clearly stated.
(6) Resellers (AR) page in SEN should also be restructured to ease out inactive resellers. Also the structure put in place for SEN Top Money Earners who make it to the top ten every month will surely boost the morale of those working hard in spreading the vision of SEN.
Lastly I commend the idea of giving out consolation prizes to the remaining seven (7) top ten (10) monthly earners club.
With the rewards and monthly incentives coming fast, I see SENetworkers who truly desire to be financially free working extra hard. Long live SADC!!! Long live SDLC!!! Long live SEN!!! Thanks sir and regards to family. Amaebi Appah -- Most Sought After SENetworker in Nigeria
MY COMMENTS:
Appah, as one of SEN2020 top recruiters in 2008, your observations are suggestion are so apt and enlightening. Thank you for the contribution.
I’ll also itemize my response the way you did yours.
1. CLUB 50 and above is intact. Their status is preserved. Click here to see full explanation about their status. Once you’ve FIFTY [50] downline, you’re qualified to attend the Basic Certificate Course In Entrepreneurship [BCCE] anytime we hold it.
But your SEN account MUST be current before you can apply to attend. For instance, if you allow your account to be dormant and our system moves you to the Reserved List, you have to bring your account up-to-date before you can apply to attend BCCE.
With our new system, only Club 50 and above members can attend the BCCE. Others will have to pay if the wish to attend.
2. No, is the answer. There are no more cash rewards of any form. The new system is entirely focused on entrepreneurship training: teaching you how to fish rather than handing over fish to you.
Anyone who is interested in the network strictly for the money and other perks can go for the SEN Top Money Earners Monthly Promotion.
3. If a subscriber wishes to renew his subscription BEFORE his current subscription expires, all he has to do is go into his SEN Account and from there renew, using Inter Switch of Fast-e-Cash to make the payment. It’s that easy!
4. I believe the way our system structured the SEN Top Money Earners’ Monthly Promotion will give those who are interested in it a fair chance of getting good returns on their efforts. Don’t forget, the minimum number of downline that you must have in a month to qualify for the prizes is FIVE.
5. Apart from having 50 downline, there will be a test to ascertain if the applicant has been reading SuccessDigest Extra! This is very important. BCCE, which is now the main reward for SENetworkers, is all-expense paid and residential, just like the pilot edition that SADC sponsored in August 2008. Click here to see the full requirements for anyone planning to attend the BCCE.
6. Yes, we have been receiving negative reports about some of our Authorized Resellers and we have concluded plans to suspend the errant ones.
I hope I was able to answer your questions satisfactorily, Appah. I look forward to seeing you among the high fliers in the SEN Top Money Earners’ Club this year.
